Asclepian Age & Regenerative Care is led by John Kurtz, a 27-year Army veteran and Certified Advanced Bioidentical Hormone Specialist, menopause-trained provider, and musculoskeletal ultrasound-guided PRP clinician based in Bluffton, South Carolina. We serve patients throughout South Carolina and Georgia with decades of clinical experience and a personalized, evidence-informed approach to hormone optimization and regenerative medicine.

The name Asclepian is inspired by Asclepius, the ancient Greek god of medicine, healing, and physicians. In Greek mythology, Asclepius was the son of Apollo and was taught the healing arts by Chiron, a wise centaur renowned for educating heroes and physicians. He became known not simply for his knowledge, but for his compassionate ability to restore health, relieve suffering, and help people regain strength and hope.

This legacy lives on in one of the most recognized symbols in healthcare today: the Staff of Asclepius, a single serpent wrapped around a staff, which has long represented medicine, healing, and the trusted relationship between physician and patient.

Why We Started
Asclepian Age & Regenerative Care was founded out of personal experience. After his own difficult path through hormone therapy and watching his wife struggle through early perimenopause, John Kurtz set out to build the kind of practice they had needed and could not find: one that listens first, looks deeper than a standard lab range, and treats every patient as an individual rather than a checklist.
